Written in the Heavens

Do alarms go off in your head when you hear that the zodiac could tell God's story? Do you fear I've fallen for Eastern guru mysticism? Aren't the zodiac constellations part of Greek mythology and astrology? Is it possible that they actually do tell God's redemptive story? Should a Christian study them or avoid them? These are questions I had to ask myself. The answers I found were not only fascinating but also awe-inspiring and faith-affirming. Ancient star charts and star names reveal an amazing Biblical parallel. These meanings predate Greco-Roman myths by thousands of years. The Bible tells us that God created the stars and that He calls them all by name. The names of some of the constellations and star clusters are mentioned in the oldest book of the Bible, and God claims ownership of them. The more I've studied the Bible, the more I see how God has embedded spiritual truth in everything He created. So why would He not have done the same with the stars? To write His story and eternal plan in the unalterable heavens was truly brilliant—a stroke of genius! When multiple research groups all conclude that approximately 70% of churched young people will turn away from their faith when they leave home, it becomes imperative for Christian families to integrate biblical faith in every area of life. The message of the stars confirms God's eternal plan revealed in the Bible. This course provides another layer of solid evidence for the veracity of the Gospel. As my children grew up, I didn't know where God's plan might lead them; but wherever in the world they might find themselves and no matter how difficult the circumstances, I wanted them to be able to look up at the night sky and read God's story there. I wanted the stars to remind them that God is in control of this world's history and that no one can ever thwart His plan. That desire spurred on my study of the stars and the story written there. The things I discovered have led me to a greater worship of the God who "made the stars also" (Genesis 1:16). The discovery of the ancient meanings of the original 48 constellations is the focus of this new online course. There is...
